Matt Cohen - Founder

Recovering CPA, sourdough enthusiast, spreadsheet refugee

Matt spent 15 years as a CPA making other people's numbers add up before he realized his real passion was making dough numbers add up. After too many late nights fighting with Excel formulas for bread calculations, he decided to build the tool he wished existed.

When he's not coding BenchProof, Matt's either on the ski slopes, out on the mountain bike trails, or in the kitchen testing formulas—usually with his dogs underfoot and his wife wondering why he's timing preferments instead of dinner.
